Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee Estimator at The Safety Letterbox Company, you will have the opportunity to develop a range of valuable skills while contributing to our success. Your key responsibilities will include:

Develop AutoCAD Skills: Learn and master the creation of 2D AutoCAD drawings to accompany customer quotes, showcasing precision and attention to detail.

Customer Support: Assist with customer enquiries, ensuring that clients receive prompt and knowledgeable responses.

Quotation Management: Produce tailored quotations that align with customer needs and follow up on them to secure successful conversions.

Sales Growth: Gather essential information from customers to generate accurate quotes, with a focus on increasing the number of quotations and improving conversion rates.

Sales Impact: Contribute to boosting sales by nurturing client relationships and ensuring quotes align with their budget and specifications.

CRM Utilisation: Record and track customer data using the ODOO CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with other departments, such as accounts, dispatch, and production, to ensure smooth internal processes and timely deliveries.

Relationship Building: Foster strong working relationships both internally and externally, contributing to seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Administrative Support: Keep records organised and assist with filing paperwork to maintain an efficient and streamlined workflow.

Person Specification

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Estimator at The Safety Letterbox Company. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and qualifications:

Skills & Abilities

Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to develop skills in estimating, AutoCAD 2D, and customer service, with a passion for continuous improvement.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with customers and internal teams, ensuring clear and effective interactions.

Attention to Detail: Demonstrates precision in producing accurate quotes and AutoCAD drawings, paying close attention to customer specifications and requirements.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that fit within their budget and the company’s product capabilities.

Organisational Skills: Strong time-management and organisational abilities to handle multiple enquiries, quotations, and follow-ups efficiently.

Collaboration: A team player who works well with various departments, such as production, accounts, and dispatch, to ensure smooth internal processes and successful project delivery.

Experience & Knowledge

Basic IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn AutoCAD 2D and the ODOO CRM system (prior experience is a plus but not essential).

Interest in the Built Environment: A genuine interest in aesthetics, design, and current standards in the built environment, with a passion for offering the best solutions to customers.

Sales & Customer Service: Any previous experience in sales or customer service is desirable, but not essential. The ability to build strong relationships with clients is key.

  • Ability to work from home on a Wednesday (once passed probation)
  • Fulltime, Permanent role.
  • Based at our Neath office in Milland Road, SA11 1NJ
