Our Secured by Design CPD Seminar is Now Available

We are continuing our CPD series by launching our RIBA accredited Secured by Design TS009: 2019 mailboxes – designing out crime seminar.

This video examines the Secured by Design (SBD) Homes guidance and how it applies to letter flaps and mailboxes. It highlights the TS009: 2019 standard and explains why SBD, the Door and Hardware Federation and the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) recommend mailboxes over letter flaps generally, and TS009 over other standards specifically.

The Secured by Design award scheme incentivises developers to use products that have been awarded ‘Police Preferred Specification’ status. Not all mailboxes need comply with TS009: 2019. It simply represents the highest standard. This presentation shows why, by featuring a practical demonstration of just how robust a TS009-compliant mailbox is, as well as offering practical guidance on this and other relevant standards.
