The Safety Letterbox Company partners with location technology company what3words to assist carriers to provide faster and more reliable deliveries.

The partnership will enable customers to give their exact delivery point at checkout, for seamless deliveries into their myRENZbox parcel lockers enabling carriers to check the locations resulting in less missing items and improving efficiently without the need for additional directions.

UK leading mailbox and parcelbox manufacturer, The Safety Letterbox Company, has announced its partnership with location technology company what3words. United in a mission to improve customer service, this partnership enables customers to provide their what3words address at checkout. The partnership allows The Safety Letterbox Company to also implement what3words with their clients in over 65,000 sites around the UK and internationally. This removes the need for phone calls from lost delivery drivers, and means deliveries arrive at the precise location faster and more efficiently. Drivers will no longer have to ask customers for additional directions, optimising the delivery process and providing a smoother customer experience.

An increasingly on-demand economy means that consumer expectations are rising, e-commerce is growing, and parcel deliveries are increasing exponentially each year. A common barrier prohibiting seamless deliveries in the UK is the challenge of communicating the precise delivery location. Street addresses often don’t guide drivers to the right entrance, and this poses a challenge and inefficiency for a delivery driver. Frustrated and under time pressures they can then leave parcels in incorrect locations.

what3words solves this problem. It’s an easy way to identify precise locations. Every 3-metre square has been given a unique combination of three words: a what3words address.

For example, the what3words address for the entrance to The Safety Letterbox Company HQ in Neath is ///poetic, dairy, skinny. Using the free what3words app anyone can find the what3words address for the front door of their home or where their myRENZbox parcel solution is located which they can then share and navigate to that location easily and reliably.

With a rapidly growing network of myRENZbox parcel lockers throughout the UK and Europe, saving time to locate the exact system for the customer can be fast and remove frustrations, removing valuable minutes from the carriers busy schedule. Once at the system, the simple process of entering a PIN allows the ability to deposit that parcel safely for the purchaser. myRENZbox systems manage the rest through its Intelligence, sending notification to the recipient that the parcel is safely deposited inside a box for 24/7 collection at their convenience.
