We continually review and develop innovative ways to enhance the security of our mailboxes and parcel boxes. Our focus is on improving overall product safety.
Our range of mailboxes meets current EU Standards (EN13724), ensuring they have adequate mail aperture dimensions. These designs create highly secure, anti-theft post boxes.
To further minimize security risks, we offer Aperture Gap Restrictors. These restrictors reduce the size of the mailbox aperture, preventing unauthorized retrieval of items.
We provide two models of gap restrictors for our mailbox range. You can fit them either during manufacturing or retroactively if needed.
Additionally, our mailboxes comply with Secured by Design Homes 2024 standards with the use of an aperture restrictor. This certification ensures our products meet the security requirements, offering enhanced protection for your mail and parcels. View our Secured by Design products here

Frequently Asked Questions about our anti theft post box
What is the purpose of a anti theft post box aperture restrictor?
Mailboxes are typically manufactured with apertures ranging from 18mm (Mailforce range) to 44mm (COM 2 – 219 model). Adding a mail aperture restrictor reduces the available posting height to a minimum. Despite this, it still allows standard A4-sized mail to be posted. Consequently, the restrictor enhances security by minimizing the risk of mail theft and identity theft.
Additionally, it makes it more difficult for unauthorised individuals to reach inside the mailbox.
- For mailboxes with steel doors, a small M3 size nut and bolt are supplied with with the aperture restrictor to securely fasten the item to the mailbox. Open the door of the mailbox, and line up the holes in both the aperture and door, fitting the bolt through the front face of the mailbox, and fastening the restrictor with the nut on the rear side of the door.
- For mailboxes with aluminium doors, loosen fixings on the mail restrictor, open the door and slide the restrictor onto the security bridge located inside mailbox underneath postal slot and tighten fixings.
- Get in touch with us and we will clarify under which door type category your mailbox falls into.
Can aperture restrictors be installed on any mailbox?
