Do I need a freestanding letterbox support frame?
If your mailboxes are not going to be wall mounted or wall recessed, then we generally recommend the use of our support frames. Our support frames are being used by thousands of projects worldwide and have been tested to ensure that they can support banks of full mailboxes at any time.
Can the support frames be recessed into the floor?
Yes. The method is fairly straightforward – 1. The support frames should be fitted to the mailboxes and then the dimensions of the bases
Can the support frames be finished in any colour?
Yes. As is the situation with our mailboxes, support frames can be finished with any RAL colour from our standard RAL colour list at no extra cost. RAL colours not featured in our standard colour list but required can be sourced at an additional cost.
I am looking for support legs for COM 3 mailboxes – do they need cutting on site?
The rear support legs that are used on the COM 3 rear retrieval mailbox are supplied in 1 metre lengths and are then usually adapted on the project site to suit the exact dimensions of the point of installation. If required, the support legs can be finished to suit the dimensional specifications before the product is despatch from The Safety Letterbox Company factory, but any changes to the point of installation may affect the fitting of the support frames.
Do I need to adapt the support legs to suit my freestanding letterbox?
No. The technical sales team will request information about the location, distance to floor, type of floor etc. and the support legs will be finished in The Safety Letterbox Company factory prior to despatch.
