Secretary of State for Wales Jo Stevens Visits The Safety Letterbox Company in Neath

Neath, South Wales –Thursday 22^nd May 2025

The Safety Letterbox Company, was honoured to welcome the Secretary of State for Wales, Jo Stevens, to its offices at the historic Metal Box site in Briton Ferry last week. The visit coincided with the announcement of over £21 million in regeneration funding from the Tata Steel/Port Talbot Transition Board, including £6.9 million allocated for the redevelopment of the Metal Box Factory .

During her tour, the Secretary of State, explored SLB’s facilities at the Metal Box Site and engaged with the company’s dedicated team. She was particularly interested in SLB’s advancements in fire-rated mailboxes, highlighting SLB’s commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainable manufacturing in the UK.
