For over 35 years, the Safety Letterbox Company have been designing, manufacturing, and supplying mailboxes and parcel boxes from our UK factory in South Wales. THE PROJECT

A Housing Association in the Southeast had approached Bamford Doors to fit one of their bespoke Security Communal Entrance Doors. Bamford Doors carried out an initial survey of the building and found that the current mailboxes that they had in place were not fit for purpose and would need to be replaced. The housing association would run into numerous problems if they didn’t secure the entrance and mailboxes properly.

THE SOLUTION

The Housing Association wanted to go with a product that was secure. The Safety Letterbox Company and Bamford Doors both have the Secured By Design accreditation and are both known to have one of the strongest and highest quality products in their fields.

As the UK’s leading manufacturer of mail and parcel boxes it was an easy decision to contact the Safety Letterbox Company to assist Bamford Doors in getting new mailboxes for the Housing Associations customers. The Safety Letterbox Company supplied a bank of COM1 mailboxes (in front and out front) to be situated on the inside of the building with the colour RAL 7016. SLB also supplied COM3 mailboxes (in front out back) fitted into the side of the door.

Bamford Doors supplied an aluminum modular door set that is tested to STS 202 – BR2 and the colour the client went with was the very popular RAL 7016 – Anthracite Grey

The difference and extra security for those living in the blocks was instantly noticeable.
