Bolt Works

Located in the heart of Halifax, West Yorkshire, Bolt Works is a contemporary Build to Rent development delivered by Caddick Construction Limited in partnership with Placefirst. The project transformed a former multistory car park on a brownfield site into a nine-story apartment building comprising 122 modern one- and two-bedroom homes.

With a focus on creating secure, practical, and stylish living spaces, Placefirst and Caddick Construction approached The Safety Letterbox Company to provide a high-quality mail and parcel solution that met both the design aspirations of the development and the strict requirements of fire safety regulations.

Bolt Works required a mail and parcel system that was not only visually cohesive with the building’s modern aesthetic but also fully compliant with building regulations, particularly regarding fire safety. The system needed to:

The Safety Letterbox Company supplied a bespoke solution using 2 Hour Fire Rated Mail & Parcel Boxes, configured in the “In Front / Out Front” style to optimise both accessibility and safety. Each unit was wall-recessed to provide a sleek, integrated appearance, maximising space in the communal areas.

Finished in YW283F – Bronze Matt, the boxes offered a sophisticated, contemporary aesthetic that complemented the building’s interior design. Individual number engraving ensured clarity and a professional finish for all 122 units.

This solution provided residents with secure, compliant mail and parcel storage while maintaining the modern, premium feel of the development.
