Deansgate Gardens

Located in the vibrant heart of Bolton, Deansgate Gardens offers modern, high-specification homes designed for long-term private rental. Developed by Caddick Construction Limited, the project features 167 sustainable, pet-friendly apartments—ranging from 1- to 2-bedroom units—designed to foster community living and convenience. With a focus on quality, functionality, and contemporary design, Deansgate Gardens provides residents with bright, comfortable apartments and shared spaces built to enhance everyday life.

To complement the development’s premium standards and regulatory requirements, Caddick Construction engaged The Safety Letterbox Company to design, manufacture, and install a secure, fire-rated mailbox and parcel box solution that would seamlessly integrate into the building’s aesthetic while ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.

With a high number of residential units, Deansgate Gardens required a mailbox and parcel box system that would satisfy both the architectural vision and stringent Building Regulations. The client needed a solution that was safe, durable, and discreetly integrated within the building’s interior, providing residents with secure mail and parcel delivery while maintaining a sleek, cohesive appearance.

To meet the dual demands of design excellence and regulatory compliance, we provided a fully bespoke mailbox and parcel solution. The project included 77 FR2 2-hour fire-rated mailboxes and 2-hour fire-rated myRENZbox parcel boxes, ensuring that all units complied with strict Building Regulations while offering maximum security for residents’ mail and parcels.

Each unit was wall-recessed, creating a streamlined, space-efficient installation that maintains the clean lines and modern aesthetic of the development’s communal areas. This design not only maximised the use of space but also ensured that the mail and parcel boxes were discreetly integrated, complementing the architects’ vision without compromising on functionality.

Finished in RAL 6005 Moss Green Matt, the units were carefully selected to harmonise with the interior design, providing a sophisticated and contemporary appearance that enhances the overall look of the development. To improve usability and aesthetics, engraved numbering with gold infill was added to each unit, offering residents an elegant, durable, and easily legible identifier that will withstand the test of time.

Every aspect of the installation—from the selection of materials to the placement of each mailbox and parcel box—was carefully planned in consultation with Caddick Construction. This close collaboration ensured that the solution met stringent fire safety standards, aligned with the design vision, and delivered an exceptional resident experience from day one.
