Irene House

Irene House was a former government building in London located on Balham High Road. The building will be converted into BTR apartments. Not far from Balham Station with access to the underground and the Southern Railway the development is in a desirable location for residents.

Irene House is converted into 84 new studio, 1 & 2-bed apartments whilst keeping some original interiors to add character to the building. The building is a 5-storey building that is predominantly black, white, and gold giving the old government building a modern touch.

There were a few options presented by The Safety Letterbox Company and the client chose the popular COM2, an aluminium and steel front entry and retrieval horizontal product, that can be banked and recessed.

In this development, the COM2 mailboxes are wall recessed in the main lounge area which gives easy access to all residents. The product is banked 8 high by 11 wide for the perfect fit in a wall.

At the Safety Letterbox Company, we take pride in offering full customisable mailboxes that can fit any design brief. The product is powder-coated in a Matt Jet Black (RAL 9005) colour and has standard engraving with a gold infill matching the interiors of the building. Irene House chose to have a matt brass finish to their lock giving the mailboxes an extra WOW factor.
