The Project
Square Roots Hendon is a contemporary Build to Rent development comprising 244 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments and duplexes located on Edgware Road in Hendon, North London.
Designed to provide high-quality urban living, the development offers residents a range of modern amenities, making it an attractive destination for commuters and families alike.
As part of the development’s commitment to delivering a safe, convenient and premium resident experience, London Square Developments required a secure mail and parcel management solution capable of supporting the demands of modern Build to Rent living whilst meeting stringent fire safety requirements.
The Safety Letterbox Company was selected to provide a fully integrated fire-rated mail and parcel box system that would complement the building’s contemporary design while ensuring long-term reliability and compliance.

As a large-scale Build to Rent development, Square Roots Hendon presented several key requirements:

Our Solution
Fire-Rated Protection
The installation utilised our certified FR2 2-Hour Fire Rated Mailboxes, helping to maintain fire compartmentation and supporting the overall fire safety strategy of the building. By integrating fire-rated mailboxes into the wall construction, the development benefits from enhanced protection without compromising convenience or aesthetics.
Integrated Parcel Management
To accommodate increasing parcel delivery volumes, the development incorporated myRENZbox intelligent parcel boxes, providing residents with a secure and convenient method of receiving deliveries. The system enables parcels to be deposited safely and collected at a time that suits the resident, reducing missed deliveries and improving the overall resident experience.
The mail and parcel boxes were installed in a Wall Recessed configuration using bespoke steel support frames, creating a flush, streamlined appearance that maximises available space and complements the modern interior design of the communal areas.
Finished in RAL 7016-G Anthracite Grey, the installation provides a contemporary and durable appearance that aligns perfectly with the architectural character of the development.
