The Blossoms is a contemporary Build to Rent development located in Croydon, London, delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine. Designed to meet the needs of modern urban living, the scheme places a strong emphasis on resident experience, operational efficiency, and full compliance with current building safety regulations.

As a high-density residential development, The Blossoms required a robust, future-proof mail and parcel solution capable of managing increasing delivery volumes while maintaining a clean, high-quality aesthetic within communal areas. The Safety Letterbox Company was appointed to deliver a secure, compliant, and design-led solution that aligned with both the architectural vision and regulatory requirements of the project.

The Blossoms presented several key challenges common to modern Build to Rent schemes:

The Safety Letterbox Company supplied 170 x FR2 Mailboxes, each of our 2 Hour Fire Rated post boxes, alongside a 2 Hour Fire Rated myRENZbox smart parcel locker system. The solution was configured in an In Front / Out Front format to provide straightforward access for residents and delivery couriers alike.

All mailboxes and smart parcel lockers were wall recessed, ensuring a flush, integrated finish within the communal areas. The post boxes and parcel system were finished in RAL 8025-M Pale Brown Matt, offering a subtle, contemporary look that complements the development’s interior palette.

To enhance usability and visual clarity, each mailbox featured number engraving with infill, delivering a clean, professional appearance while supporting efficient resident identification.
