The Safety Letterbox Company supplied two different mailbox types of mailboxes for The Post Mark. One for the entrance of the building and one for the lobby of the building. After Looking at the specifications of the products, the interior designers choose the Tile and FR2 mailboxes.
The Tile Mailbox varies from the classic range of mailboxes from The Safety Letterbox Company as it features an accessible aperture opening with no mail flap perfect for any wall recesses projects. The Tile Mailbox is an in front / out front horizontal product making it safe and secure for the residents in the building. The Tile Mailbox is very versatile in colour options too. In this product, the interior designers want the mailboxes the same colour as the wall which was a Polaris blue colour RAL 1649. The Tile Mailbox is a very customisable product as you can change the original locks. For this product the interior designers decided on the QHDK LOCK in a variety of colours, making the mailboxes have a high end feel whilst being secure and practical for residents.
The other mailboxes the Safety Letterbox Company supplied for this project were FR2. FR2 is a fire-rated mailbox that is suitable for horizontally storing A4 sized mail for both front entry and front retrieval. The Fire Rated 2 mailbox has been developed to restrict the spread of fire for up to two hours only and if recessed into a fire-rated wall, will maintain the integrity of the fire-rated wall for up to two hours. FR2 are the perfect mailbox solution when placed in the main emergency exit. The FR2 are customisable, and The Postmark wanted a similar product to the tile but with extra safety precautions. The FR2 were all recessed and banked 3 high by 7 wide with the same Polaris blue colour making the mailboxes blend into the wall. The Post Mark also wanted to make the mailboxes practical for their residents, so they added a standard engraving with a black infill, so the residents and couriers knew which letterbox to deliver to make them practical without damaging the high-end look of the product.
